Interested in insects from my earliest recollections, I have continued with this passion in my education and hopefully into my professional career. I have tried to by a well rounded naturalist by hiking, backpacking, traveling, and insect collecting as well as by studying geology, biology, and archeology, and developing my skills in photography and illustrating. In the past I have had a lot field experience helping to investigate pallid bat (Antrozous pallidus) and whiptail lizard (Aspedoceles) diets at ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ's Indio Research Station, collecting insects in the US, Mexico, Guatemala, and Ecuador, as well as conducting plant surveys for the military in many areas of Fort Bliss. I am currently working on a systematic and possible taxonomic revision of the ant genus Dinoponera. In the future I plan to continue into graduate education and hopefully become a professor or professional researcher at some institution. I would hope to work on some sort of Orthopteroid insects.
